OB appointment today!

It's barely worth posting about since the appointment was so uneventful, but hearing the heart beat and getting the reassurance that all is well with our sweet babe is pure bliss.

This was the first appointment I saw a nurse practitioner instead of the doctor. There was no ultrasound but I did hear the heart beat on the Doppler and it was in the 140's. Otherwise the appointment was short and sweet, I peed in a cup, asked a couple questions, and went on my merry way.

So thankful all is going smoothly so far!

A heartbeat in the 140's is perfect!! Don't worry!.. You have a much bigger and more exciting appointment coming up soon when you find out the sex of the baby!! And you will be able to lay there for about an hour and do nothin but look at your baby on the screen while the tech measures EVERYTHING! After that.. The appointments get pretty boring again until the BiG birth day!!!

God bless xoxo

Yay for a short and sweet doctor's appointment. I used to be kind of bummed that the appointments were so short and uneventful and then all of a sudden I was like...WHOA....that means everything is GOOD and right on track!!! The previous commentor is right....the anatomy sonogram is the BEST!! The last sono I had was at 32 weeks and I was soooo excited about it because I hadn't seen him in a while...just heard the heart beat. Well, I was in and out in 10 minutes and I was sooo thankful...everything was as it should be....nothing much to look at :) I did get a cute pic, though. When do you go for the anatomy sono?

SO glad to hear things are going so smoothly! Even though I had a doppler at home, I always loved hearing the heartbeat.. I could listen to it all day!

Should have read back farther before I commented on your latest post. I want to change my vote to boy! Our baby's HR was always in the 160s early on, then fell to 150s where it stays now. I know- it's technically just a myth but I think there may be some truth to it. ;) Plus you DID have the boy dream... either way you are going to be ecstatic! So happy for you.
